Slash’s debut solo album is the must-hear hard rock record of 2010. Featuring a glittering supporting cast of friends, legends, contemporaries, pop stars, young upstarts and former Guns N’ Roses bandmates, ‘Slash’ the LP is absolutely “not a lead guitar solo record.” Although, as you might imagine, there’s no shortage of smoking hot guitar playing…If you want to hear the ... This is also Slash’s first official live album. Review: Slash - World On Fire | Sputnikmusic

Nice review, even if I think you'd benefit from it if you extended it a couple of more paragraphs. I'll probably review it too if I have enough time to do it. Album is pretty cool, any Slash fan is bound to enjoy it, but people who don't appreciate his stuff that much probably won't feel excited about giving it a spin. Summing up the entire listen of World on Fire, the highly publicized statement that “Rock is Dead” is simply not factual as Slash proves it is alive and well. There are no surprises, just a straight-forward, kick-ass, heavily guitar-driven, no frills rock. World On Fire is the type of album fans have come to expect from Slash. Fitz’s drumming is on point and could not be any better.

Picking the pace up again, with some technical riffs that we associate with Slash, accompanied by catchy drum beats, is ‘Sugar Cane’.Myles continuing with the high vocals. As much as I admire his vocal ability, I wish he’d used more range on this album, we all know he is more than capable. Today Geoff, Bailey and Myself give our thoughts on Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators latest release ‘Living the Dream’. The album is due out tomorrow. Check out our reviews of the album below! Touring and playing with Kennedy clearly is easier on Slash's soul, and the music on Apocalyptic Love, his second solo album and first to feature Myles on vocals throughout, reflects this ease. It may be hard and heavy but it sounds relaxed, Slash and company doing the music they do best: namely, L.A. sleaze rock basics, thickly layered with ...

Refreshing, because Slash once again decided to work with the same band instead of using multiple vocalists and also because the album’s runtime is maintained at a reasonable level. Living The Dream makes Slash’s fourth studio album since going solo in 2011, and third with Kennedy and The Conspirators. ‘The Call Of The Wild’ opens the album with a quirky vibe, somewhat reminiscent of World On Fire’s ‘The Dissident,’ before quickly exploding into a classic, catchy riff that could only belong to Slash.
